Got an idea from a friend, Teresa to make this homemade baby food. It's a great success for me by making the baby food in bulk and freezing it in portions. This is also convenient for me to be able to take food with us when we are heading out, regardless if it is planned or not, as I always have a stock pile in the freezer. Trust me, I've tried it, it's really delicious...
Easy steps:
Ingredients:
4 potatos
2 carrots
2 tomatos
1/2 brocolli
2 slices pumpkin
Fish
- chop up the above ingredients;
- steam veggies, placing the veggies which take the longest to cook on the bottom;
- Once cooked, puree/mash the veggie with anchovies soup
- Add fish and place them in container
(p/s: You may put your baby favourite food or any others vegetables)
If you have storage, you may make more and store it in the freezer.
My blog is about my life, my thoughts, my interests, my 2 little lovely kids, Ian & Ryan, their developments and the changes that brought to our family, Daddy & myself...

Mom's Birthday 2011
17 July is mom birthday, normally we will celebrate her birthday together with sis and family.
One week before, sis suggested to celebrate by staying 1 night at Genting, unfortunately the rooms are all fully-booked and we've to watch football match on 16/7. Therefore, she brought mom to Genting for day trip on Saturday and I brought mom for dinner on Sunday at Gold Leave Restaurant, Klang.

Liverpool vs Malaysia Match
I'm not a big fan of football, James has been a Liverpool fan for years and of course Ian'll just follow daddy's footstep...
James insisted to leave home early around 3:30 pm and we're heading to Sg Besi Station, parked our car there and took a train to Bukit Jalil. It was already crowded, we have to push our way into the train. When we reached Bukit Jalil, you could hear the crowd roaring. It was exciting having thousand of people going wild.
There're a lot of food stalls and variety of football related stuff selling here. James bought a Liverpool hat for Ian.
We went in at Yellow Gate, walked up the stairs and found ourselves a seat. It was quite high, the view is not bad, can view everything.
I thnk it's a great experience for Ian.

Movie_Transformer 3: Dark of the Moon!
Thanks to Huan Voon for buying the ticket for us on Sun (10/7/11).
Prior to the movie, Ian always asked when can we watch it in cinema. The billboard or advertisements are very tempting. After watching the Transformers 2, he requested T-shirt, school bag, DVD, birthday cake and even the bumblebee car which can tranform to bumblebee robot.
On 13 July 11, Wednesday we brought him to watch, the ticket is cheaper, for couple seat is only RM18.
I think this movie is not suitable for kids.

1. Robot violence - robot decapitation, loss of limbs, spewing oil/blood, autobots are killed;
2. Human violence - humans running, screaming, crying, hand-to-hand combat, shooting, getting thrown, tossed, falling, expletive involved, etc
3. Explosions & loud noise
4. Sexual - kissing, caressHowever, Ian (6 years old) is truly enjoyed it. It was good family fun, I don't have any regrets in bringing him.

Cetaphil
I’ve been using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser more than 5 years, I love it just because it helps to solve my sensitive skin problem. It leaves your skin squeaky clean & moisture feel. Since it retains your skin’s ph balance, no need for toner unless it’s the astringent kind. It also removes traces of makeup, even waterproof make up! Besides, I use the Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion on my face as I couldn’t find the Cetaphil Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 in Malaysia.
What the product claims:
Originally developed by dermatologists especially for sensitive skin, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a soap substitute that preserves your skin’s natural protective oils. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser softens your skin as it gently cleanses. Independent clinical tests using Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser undiluted has shown it to be one of the gentlest non-soap cleansers. Its special formulation won’t sting your eyes and can remove light make-up without clogging pores. Developed to be used with or without water, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is pH balanced and lanolin and fragrance free. Suitable for: All skin types, infants, eczema, acne, rosacea & psoriasis.

Cameron Highland
Over the second term school holiday, we went to Cameron Highland for a short vacation (5 - 7 June 2011). Debbie had been planning for it and I found that the room rate is within budget, so just join them.
We departed at 6 am and had breakfast in Ipoh old town, then proceeded to eat "TauFu Fa", thereafter bought the famous kaya puff and some souvenirs.
We stayed at Centruy Pines Resort, a garden deluxe room @ RM200 per night. It comes with one super king size bed and can accomodate 2 adults & 2 kids comfortably and including breakfast.
Boh Tea Centre at Sungai Palas
This's the second largest tea farm of BOH Tea Plantation. It'll take some of your driving skill to get into this tea plantation. THe road is small and narrow, only 1 car can pass at a time. The view is great, it's so green and bracing with fresh and cold air. We had our lunch/Tea time at BOH Tea shop. We are unlucky, the tea factory tour is closed on Monday.
We do not visit cactus valley, honey bee farm, butterfly farm which we had visited it before. Nevertheless, must visit Kea Farm, a vegetable market, there're variety of vegetables, fruits, flowers, souvenirs, etc over here. The price is not cheap, almost the same in KL but, it's fresh. A bad thing is no parking lot.
We had charoal steamboat at Cameron Organic Steamboat Restaurant for our 2 days dinner, delicious!

We visited a Strawberry Farm beside the Equatorial Hotel in Brinchang. Most of the strawberry farms are trying to make some extra money by offering visitorsthe experience to self-pluck the strawberry. It's cost RM20 for a group of 3 for a plate of 1 kg, subsequent quantity will charge accordingly. The road is small, just enough one person to walk through. Unfortunately, there're less strawberry, perhaps finished plucking by visitors during the last weekend. It was fun and happy for Ian.

Hair Cut, Toy Story
Normally, I'll bring Ian to saloon for hair cut, and hubby requested a "Bruce Lee" hir style for Ian and I felt it's very long & messy for a kid. As for Ryan, the 1 time experience @ saloon, he cried and wanted me to carry him during the whole cutting process. Each time, when I ask him, "can I bring you to the aunty for cutting hair", he'll shake his head and point me. So I decided to do it myself...
Ian - Mummy, why do you take so long to cut my hair?
Mum - Haha, because Mummy is not a professional hair stylist...
Ian - Can you make it fast, it's very hot, no air-cond...
Mum - Ok, darling, I try my best...
Ian suggested that if he got 100% for all his subjects, he want a "Kamen Rider" DVD. Unfortunately, he only got 1 - 100%, he showed the test papers to me with dissapointment. So I decided to motivate him by buying a toy story to him, at the same time to reward both of them for being good behaviour during the hair cutting.
However, Ian questioned:
Ian - Why did you buy a fake toy story for me?
Mum - How do you know that it's fake?
Ian - By looking at the eyes and for the real one, the button is in front instead of at the back...
Mum - Wow, so smart...

Ian's Sports Day
Ian's school sports day, this's his second time participation, the reaction was a bit different from the first time (4 years old), probably he's too young at that time. This time he's excited, and the school emphasised on parents & child sport day, and he wanted us to participate with him as well.
We invited grandparents to come, but they claimed that it's too early and their lazy to wake up so early. We've to reached there at 7 am.

Wall Photo Frames
I've been wanting to hang a bunch of frames in a nice arrangement on the wall. It's an idea from a friend, Theresa. She created a corner to hang all the memorable and beautiful photos of the family.
I decided to do it and I bought the 3D frames in black to make a beautiful collage of photo frames...

Seba Med Face & Body Wash
SebaMed Baby Liquid Cleanser (SMBLC) a no tears formula with PH value of 5.5.
Ian & Ryan inherited James's sensitive and dry skin. Initially, Ian used SMBLC, but I just don't like the smell, so I changed it to SebaMed Liquid Face & Body Wash, 100% soap and alkali-free Mild Hydrating cleanser Hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic same PH as healthy skin 5.5 Dermatologist recommended.
Three of them are using it and it's easier for me to do shopping. I normally buy it from Caring pharmacy at RM69.90 for 1L + 200ml.
It's definitely a good product, I strongly recommend it.

Mother's Day 2011
Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful and awesome mum.
I wanted to bake cupcakes, but really busy. Bake cupcakes for mum & mum in-law. I dropped by the bakery shop after picking-up Ian from school on Friday. He's excited and selected a "Tiger" face sugar to place on the cupcakes, I bought some "heart" shape too too sprinkle on it. We baked it on Friday night, after mum left to Setapak, Ian's helping me to put the egg one by one and whisk the batter, place & sprinkle the "Tiger" on the cupcakes, even Ryan helped to sprinkle the "heart" shape on it, James's washing the tools..

New Pyjamas
My little poor Ryan always have to wear his "koko" old pyjamas. However, wearing sibling attire helps the kids bond with each other in a way, so I strongly believe this and it's cost effective too...
Normally, Ryan's wearing the sleeping bag during night time, and recently, he's getting taller, so the sleeping bag could not fit anymore. Hubby said wanna buy those jump suit for him, long sleeves and cover the feet as well, especially sleep in the air-cond room for whole night.
We went to Branded outlet in Ikano, bought 4 sets of jump suit for Ryan and 1 pair for Ian. Ian insisted to buy Mario Pyjamas and it's fitted type.

Weight: 20 kg
Height: 119 cm
Summary of the Year:

Milestone:
Sleep - 9:30 pm goes up to bedroom, drink milk, read bible/story book.
Talking - He can speak Mandarin, but still have mixed with English and Cantonese.

Piano Class
We have stopped Ian's drum class, the teacher refused to teach him on Feb 2011. What a shame, the teacher complained that he's too playfull and do not pay attention in the class.
Thereafter, I talked to him seriously, he told me that he wanted to learn piano instead like YuChien (his good friend).
Hubby & I was thinking to invite a friend home to teach me, but I think God leads hubby to visit a music centre nearby which is managed by a church, by talking to the teachers, we found that they're more caring and with love to kids. On 2 April 2011, we enrolled him into a piano class, it's also a one to one class, once every week with half adn hour each, and RM80 per month.
Also considering that we've piano at home for him to practise and guide him, so just give him a try...

Kuching Trip (23 - 25 Mar 2011)
There was a promo of RM9 one way to Kuching by Fireflyz last Nov 2010. Out of a sudden, I quickly booked it for adult is only RM18 return ticket, but Ryan is RM100 under infant fare, so the total air fare for 5 of us is RM172 only.
We (3 adults & 2 kids) stayed in a chalet (2 queen size beds) at the Damai Beach Restor for 2 nights with breakfast. It's near to the pool, beach & restaurant. Great pool area with limited free activities like table tennis, kayaks adn mini golf, etc) Besides, lots of tours like a mangrove boat ride and a trip for Balo National Park can be arranged from the hotel and shuttle to Kuching departs daily.
Our plane arrived at 1:45 pm, we took a cab to a chinese restaurant which recommended by a friend for Kolok Mee (like normal wantan mee), but it was sold out, no choice then we tried it at another shop, it's good too... The distance is 45 mins drive from Airport to Hotel. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach with the kids, just that Ryan refused to sit on the sand, he said "dirty"... At night we took a shuttle to a seafood restaurant for dinner.
Day 2:
We went to Sarawak Cultural Village, 5 mins walk to the destination which is the venue of the annual Rainforest Music Festival. In one place, we get to know different culture and building architecture for different races in Sarawak. Though artificial made for tourists' visit, but it's nicely done. (But I think the original will be better). There's an excellent live performances/shows with live music. After that, we took a shuttle (at a reasonable fee) to Kuching Town or Waterfront for a stroll and souvenirs. We had our lunch at a coffee shop, and tried the Sarawak Laksa, it's really delicious! And not to miss a seafood dinner again at Topspot Seafood Food Court. Did not get a ride on sampan at Waterfront and miss out the Museum Visit.
Might want to make few tour/sightseeing arrangements, but time consuming and the kids couldn't cope it. Super exhausted with kids for the trip and the most of the places are not suitable for kids.
Day 3:
Had a relaxing and enjoyable breakfast, thereafter check-out at 11 am and caught the flight at 2 pm back to KL.

Homework
Everyday, I won't be worried for Ian's homework, coz he stays until 3:30 pm in his preschool, the teachers will coach him for his homework. However, during the weekend, I'll still prepare some worksheets for him to do to fill up his time, otherwise he'll be watching TV for the whole day.
Nevertheless, the little brother, Ryan also wants to join him by distubing Ian on writing, pulling his book, taking his pencil, etc
