Last 2 day of Dec 2011, Ian attended his primary (standard 1) orientation!
Felt like yesterday when I gave birth to him, but now, i'm seeing him walking into the next phase of life, my little boy is growing up fast...
He's quite excited with all his new stuff like bags, books, uniform, etc...
My blog is about my life, my thoughts, my interests, my 2 little lovely kids, Ian & Ryan, their developments and the changes that brought to our family, Daddy & myself...

VBS 2011
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a specialized form of religious education which focuses on children, it takes place once a year and usually it will take 2 - 3 days vary from the age of the children. I think it is the happiest place to be for children ages 4 years to 12 years old.
Each VBS program follows a unique theme, it's including games, crafts, bible lessons/stories, and other activities...
This year theme was "Kingdom of the Son_A Prayer Safari".

Today is our wedding dinner anniversary, and it's weekday, we do not have a plan. After dinner, we just felt like eating some desserts, and James suggested to go to a nearby desserts shop behind Jusco. I like the pumpkin dessert...

Krabi Trip - Nov 2011
As usual, I managed to grab a cheap ticket to Krabi @ RM145/pax for 4D3N in Nov 2011. I made the hotel reservation at Ananta Burin Resort with 2 breakfast.
The raining season at Krabi is from May to Oct, so plan your holiday wisely. Aonang is the most westernized beach in Krabi, the local people can speak English, there're shops, mini-marts, tour agencies, bike/car rentals, cafe/restaurants, pub/bars, spas, massage parlors, tailor shops, etc. You can get whatever needed for a nice beach holiday.
Upon arriving, we took a cab to Ao Nang where our hotel located, we randomly picked 2 activities for our Day 2 & 3, then relaxed in the swimming pool and we had our dinner at Lae Lay Grill Spices Seafood Restaurant, it located in the hill and we can view the night scene while having our dinner.
Day 2:
We went for island hooping:
Lohsamah Bay - fish and coral
Pileh Bay - Sightseeing
Monkey Bay - Snorkel and exploring
Maya Bay - Stunning location for the Hollywood firm "The Beach"
Viking Cave - photograph
Phi Phi Don Island - Lunch
Hin Klarng - Open sea snorkelling
Bamboo Island - explore the coral and the beach
At night, we went to the night market, it's a bit disappointing as it wasn't what i expected, but there're some interesting food and we managed to try some local food.
Day 3:
We went for
Elephant Trekking - enjoy it through the beautiful nature
Hot Spring - relaxing
Emerald Pool - very dissapointed
Tiger Cave Temple - the best forest temple and whilst walking along you will see many big trees, some of which are around 1,000 years old

Ben10 Cupcakes
I've baked 25 pcs of chocolate cupcakes topped with frosting and Ben 10 edible print. It's for Ian to do a farewell to his year 6 classmates.
I brought the cupcakes to kindie around 9 am, and they're doing exercise in the field, so I just left it with the Principal. Didn't manage to take a group photo for him.

Little India Carnival
This the first time for us to join the voluntary work, as our cell group has selected to take care of the dunking booth. It's organised by DUMC on 7 Nov 2011, and it's a day of great fun for the families of the Tamil church members.
There were lots of food and game stalls, plus entertainment section.

Ian_Year 6 Graduation Concert
Our little prince has graduated, I think he's excited for it. It was a day where he can perform the dance that practised for some times and received the awards of his efforts. He's looking forward the concert and keeps mentioned it since Friday after school.
He invited Grandparents, popo and cousin sister, Zyta to attend the concert. It's a big thanks for their attendance and patient during the concert.
We sent him to the hall at 8:30 am for rehearsal and pick him up around 10 am. I decided to make up for him, so we don't need to arrive so early (3pm). We arrived at 4:30 pm and the concert started around 5++ pm.
The concert ended with a group singing around 8++pm.

Logos Hope Floating Book Fair
Logos Hope, a ship known as the world’s largest floating book fair, is now berthed at Port Klang Cruise Centre at Pulau Indah, Selangor, and is open for public visit from 29 September 2011 until 23 October 2011. Thereafter, it will depart to Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Singapore and other ports around the world.
Ticket cost is only RM1 each and admission is free for children under 12 who are accompanied by an adult. Parking fee is RM3.
The ship is big. Find out the details of Logo Hopes and its book library features.
Get the flyer from church in Sept 2011 and planned to visit, due to the busy schedules, finally the last day. We had our lunch at "Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh" in Taman Berkeley and dinner at Coconut Flower Restaurant in Telok Gong for seafood.
We arrived about 3 pm and there’s quite a big crowd visiting, the queue was long, it took us about 45 min to get in the ship. The worst part was, it suddenly rained and they’ve to get all the people into the ship, it was so crowded and stuffy. We departed around 5:30 pm.
After boarding, the tour in Logos Hope started with a 2 minutes video introduction about the ship, then you will go through the exhibition area, book fair area, multimedia "Life Experience" display, cafeteria, interactive educational section, and finally the exit.
The books are quite cheap, most of the books are selling in special units, and Logos Hope uses a currency conversion scheme to convert the units to RM. If you have kids with you, that’s a great place to hunt for children books. Other general titles include cooking, gardening, health, family, spiritual, devotion, CDs etc.

Melaka Day Trip
2 Oct 2011 was a Public Holiday, Huan Voon invited us to join them for Melaka day trip. On the way, we stopped and visited Philea Hotel in Air Keroh, the rate is really expensive RM400++ onwards... We queued up at the side of the restaurant for the famous Hainan Chicken Rice at Restoran Kopi Chung Wah. And we had our dinner at Teo Soon Loong Chan Teo Chew Seafood Restaurant in Jalan Hang Kasturi. Luckily I reserved the table 1 day before, otherwise it's fully-booked. I missed the Yan Puree Pumpkin Dessert, yummy...
