Fantasy Planet

Hubby brought the kids to the playground at Lake Garden.  It's called Fantasy Planet, one good thing, it's near to the car park and there's a nice field nearby.  Ian and Ryan enjoyed playing football and the dinosaur theme to the park.  It wasn't big, but I liked it because it has its own identity that separated it from the usual playgrounds, eg, the dinosaur bushes...

Library

Ryan @ 3y10m:

I'm impressed that Ryan can choose, lend and return books himself.  The librarian asked him to write his own name and he's able to do it.

Planting Sweet Potato Leaves

One day, a neighbour has given us a bunch of sweet potato leaves, and she advised me to grow some too as they're mild, tender, delicious and are extremely easy to grow.  I'm thinking of a hands-on way to teach kids about the life cycle of plants, although the seeds planting will be better because that process allows the kids to view the germination and root growth.  But, this's still a good start to focus on soil, water, air and sunlight requirements.  This's also helped Ian to refresh his study on Social Studies about "Plants"?

BBQ Plaza & Kid'z Paradise

My Kid'z Paradise vouchers will be expired on 3 Aug 2013, and I don't want to go on weekend, so we had our lunch at BBQ Plaza the Mines, thereafter Kid'z Paradise.

It's been a while that we wanna try it out as good reviews from friends.  My impression to BBQ Plaza is the tasty soup base.  Well, they don't serve the nutritious soup.  Their selling point is the fresh meat where you can choose chicken, pork of lamb.  There're 2 slices of lard which will be used to cook or apply on the hot plate.  We ordered the Supreme Mixed SetRM32.90++ including sirloin, beef, Australian lamb, pork, bacon, chicken, squid, shrimp, jelly fish, green tea taufu, fish mushroom, udon, sliced cabbage, baby corn, carrot, lettuce, tomato, pumpkin, chinese mushroom and 2 bowls of rice.  I would say the meats are fresh and juicy, Ian loves it... Yummy!!

Anyway, I still prefer steamboat with nutritious soup...

Bukit Tinggi

We celebrated mom’s birthday by going for a day trip to Bukit Tinggi, the children including myself have not been to it.  Bukit Tinggi is a small town in the Bentong district of Pahang, Malaysia.  This small town is located along Karak Expressway.

The Entrance fee is RM12 for adult and RM8 for child for day visit to Colmar Tropicale, Japanese village and French Village, whereas, the rabbit Park is RM3 per person.

That day, the weather was good and bright.  Sky was blue, wind was breeze and the children’s heart was at cloud 9.  Before entered to the village, we visited the organic farm, it’s a show farm, the crops are not usually for sale due to small harvest, but visitors are allowed to eat some of the produce on-site as part of the tour experience.

The Colmar Tropicale retains the European-style architecture, decorated with cobblestone courtyard and streams of cafes and restaurants, entertained by performances and live band.  For me the meals were expensive and cannot fill-up the appetite.  There’s a watch tower for you to view the entire village and probably, children’s favourite, to watch the geese swim around.

The Japanese village consists of a Japanese Tea house, Ryo Zan Tei authentic Japanese Restaurant, botanical garden, spa and Tatami suites.  There’s a kimono or samurai rental for photo shooting, it’s RM20 for 30 Minutes.

We ended our visit at the Rabbit Park where the kids charmed by the cuteness of the fluffy rabbits.

Initially, we wanted to have our dinner at Bukit Tinggi BBQ Restaurant, but it’s located in Bentong town, so we’re a bit lazy to make a big U-turn over there.  Ended, we’ve had our dinner at Liu Xiang Restaurant, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur.
