Sg Gabai Waterfall

We always want to bring the kids to explore nature, and during this term 2 school break we ventured to the nearer waterfall in Hulu Langat, it’s called Sg Gabai Waterfall.

It’s RM2 per person per entry.  The car park area is small and facilities wise, there’re toilet, wooden tables and chairs, shelters, but it’s very dirty.

We’ve to climb many steps of stairs, it’s about 10 – 15 minutes, luckily the kids were okay and excited.  The waterfall is nice and beautiful, water is cold and clear and the air is clean, unfortunately the surrounding area was dirty, filled with rubbish everywhere, e.g. waste bottles, plastic bags, can, bbq stuff (wire net), etc

There’re shelters for people to picnic and rest, but 2 were broken.

The Tourism Ministry ought to upgrade and maintain the cleanliness of toilets, changing room and the shelters.

We had our lunch at Thai Fish Farm Restaurant, Hulu Langat.  Getting here was a mini adventure as the road was bumpy, winding and narrow.

Lesson @ Kiddo Science

A hands-on experimental science class at Kiddo Science Learning Centre for Ian to try, he likes it very much and wants to go back next week, plus requests to sign him up for the lesson.  Looking at the weekly class schedule, seems like only Sunday and it's a bit lazy... :(

Sport Living Club @ Country Heights Resort

We were excited to stay as while on the way to the villa, there is a great view of bungalows and mansion and the website shows a very good view of this villa but we were totally disappointed once we saw the old looking villa with torn paint and were shocked when we opened the door.  The place was not maintained properly, it's like the unit I stayed has not been visited by anyone for the past few years.  The smell of the old furniture, paint and the rest is awful and immediately you feel like going home.  The blanket is so old, mattress and pillow came with the old smell as well.  The toilet door cannot be close, water heater flow cold water and the air-conditioner was out of order.  Master Bedroom toilet is worst than the sharing toilet.  No place to hang your towel, no floor mat and worst still they don't offer shower caps.  Basic necessity of a hotel/resort should at least provide complimentary water but this villa do not provide.  I will not recommend as well.

However, at least the swimming pool at Sport Living Club is ok.  After enjoy playing in the pool, we check-out immediately and had our dinner at Sg Chua, Kajang.

Homemade Steamboat

Today is mother's day.  We'd celebrated last month, just did a small celebration and invited parents in law for a simple steamboat eating session. I love steamboat and like to do it too...

Initially, my plan is to bake cupcakes, but ended up with no cakes.
The sad thing was after the dinner, my mother in-law said "your father don't like steamboat one".  Huh??? Does it mean that I can't do it anymore with them.

Sense of Mother's Day

After mom fell from stairs during CNY, it's been over 3 months on our own, no mother, no maid.  I'm a full time mummy + homemaker + part-time office manager.  In short, I have to juggle my job, my children and my home.

7 days of the week, what am I doing?
-  laundry (luckily I've dryer, fold, keep, iron)
-  cooking
-  planning menu for the week
-  go wet market
-  shopping for grocery
-  washing dishes & sink
-  cleaning the stove
-  fetching kids to/from school
-  bathing Ryan
-  feeding Ryan
-  homework checking for Ian
-  reading story books with kids
-  reading devotion with kids
-  watering plants
-  throwing rubbish
-  vacuum/mop floors
-  washing toilets
-  changing bedsheets

I almost used to the routine work.  I'm lucky that I've a understanding and helpful hubby to help me out.  But sometimes he's a lot of work to do too, then no choice.

Mother's Day, just have a special feeling and thoughts... a sense of thankfulness and gratitude to the Awesome God, for what he has done and work on miracles in our lives and family.

Lord, we want to walk closer with You, grow our faith in You and trust You, we surrender all to You, Amen.

Considerate

Ian is getting more considerate these days, for instance, during the meal time, I normally will give him the best from my bowl of noddle/rice, suddenly Ian said:

Ian:  Mom, that's enough for me, you eat
Me:  Ok, coz I love you
Ian:  Ya, I love you too, you eat, ok.  We share...
Me:  Ok, thank you darling!

Last time, for those delicious food or his favourite food/drinks, he'll finish all and did not allow people to eat/drink.  But now he'll naturally reserve it for us by asking whether we want it or not.

Citarasa Seafood Market Steamboat

There’re a promotion RM6.90 for a set per person at Citarasa Seafood Market Steamboat in NSK, Kuchai Lama.  There’re a variety of seafood to choose from, and different types of steamboat stuff.  All you need is to place your order at the counter by informing your table number, thereafter the food will be delivered to you.

Crocodile Meat

Ryan was suffered from asthma last month, one of the effective treatment is to double-boil the crocodile meat for him to drink or cook porridge.  It's very difficult to find a fresh one, alternatively, can buy a dry one from the chinese medical shop, it's well packed with some herbs.  However, I find the fresh one is more effective.  Finally, Jessica managed to get it from the Jalan Pasar wet market and surprisingly, it's Australian product.

RM68

I divided it into 6 pcs, will use it to cook porridge and double-boil soup for him.

Double-boil soup:
Ingredients:
1 pc crocodile meat
2 slices of ginger
1/2 cup of black beans

(double-boil for 4 hours)

Steam Room Paradigm Mall

James and I decided to dine for dim sum after the church celebration on 4 May 2013, Sat.

We reached there around 7:++ pm but both of us were having a hard to find the restaurant.  As first time entered the mall and after few rounds of asking the guards and, we finally managed to locate the place.  We were being served by a friendly staff.  The food is a bit oily and of course still the Ipoh dim sum the best in our heart.

A full and satisfying dinner for us and by utilizing the voucher, we just paid for RM50++.

Ryan in Hi-5

After 2 days in Hi-5, we can see and feel that he's happy, he told a lot about what's happening in kindy and he sung a bible song:

"God is so good x 3
It's so good to me..."

Obviously, early in the morning when I send him in the class, the teacher is able to comfort him.

I think it's important to raise up a child to achieve creative thinking, confidence through FUN learning and at the same time moulding a good characteristic.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Mother's Day Card from Karine and Me

Mum showed a Mother's Day card to Ian and Ryan, that's a card made from Karine and me which was given to her during our primary school time, I think it's about 25 years ago.  She still kept it till now, so touched...  I love you, Mom!
